January 21 – Dr. Martin Luther King Day – A day in the community as the 100 BMOA/C100 march with community and community leaders from the University of Texas Austin to the East side of Austin.
January 23 – C100 Meeting – Mentoring meeting to discuss upcoming Initiatives (Wells Fargo/Ally/Collegiate Retreats, etc.) for the Spring Semester and next steps for the C100 at Huston-Tillotson University.
January 26th – Summer Bridge Program Recap Dinner – 2018 Summer Bridge Program Mentoring dinner with 1st year students at Huston-Tillotson University. 100 BMOA mentors will discuss progress from the summer program and Fall semester.

100 Black Men of Greater Beaumont, Inc.
Martin Luther King Jr Middle School: At MLK we operate an afterschool mentoring program. Student attendance is voluntary. We seek to improve academic and behavioral performance of the young men. We currently have 12 young men in our program: 8 from MLK and 4 from Beaumont United High school. However, we have had as many as 25 young men attend. The MLK program meets each Wednesday for 2 hours with at least 4 men. Some of the men occasionally visit the school during school hours to check up on our mentees and provide support to the campus by simply walking the halls.
Jones-Clark Elementary: At Jones-Clark Elementary, we tutor 5 young men in reading, math or whatever is required. The Jones-Clark Elementary tutoring program is held each Tuesday for 4 hours and is staffed by one man. We will also partner with the district in the ROAR Community Reading Partnership within the elementary schools.
Beaumont United High School: And we also participate at Beaumont United in the program called Man up Mondays and work to start an afterschool mentoring program at the high school.
100 Black Men of Greater Dallas, Inc.
Our Mentees will participate in a Perception and Judgement exercise to establish leadership skills. This is a scenario-based activity that will simulate how mentees will respond in critical situations where apparent leadership skills will be developed. The scenarios will be The Shelter (the selection process) and The Promotion (employee hiring his/her replacement).
Also, for our Saturday Leadership Program, mentees will participate in resume writing and building their Brand. The outcome of this activity will introduce the mentees to preparing themselves as a professional and acquiring job readiness skills in advance of high school graduation.

The 100 Black Men of Greater Little Rock recently completed the seventh S.M.A.R.T. Mentoring Academy and plan monthly events where all past mentees are invited to attend.
January 26, 2019, we will be traveling to Memphis Tennessee to visit LeMoyne Owen College and the University of Memphis. During this time, we will have speakers discussing the importance of higher education. Next, we will have fun visiting the historic Stax Museum and watch the Memphis Grizzlies vs the Indiana Pacers.

Helping to pick up trash, racking leaves and helping to pick vegetables from our high tunnel. Mentees will be served lunch, and mentors will a brief mentoring session with students.
Proclamation/Declaration Request : We will be submitting a request for our Mayor, the Honorable Chokwe Antar Lumumba to recognize the 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc. for 28 years of mentoring in Jackson, MS.

100 Black Men of Western Pennsylvania, Inc.
On Saturday, January 19, 2018, from 11 am to 2 pm The 100 Black Men of Western PA will celebrate "National Mentoring Month" by hosting our eighth annual Mentoring Roundtable. The Mentoring Roundtable is an opportunity to expound on The 100 Black Men's motto "What They See Is What They'll Be".We have invited 15 – 20 African American Professionals and Business owners to the event. They will share their journeys with our young people and their stories will strengthen their beliefs in achieving their dreams.The day begins with our Collegiate100 members hosting a networking reception with our invited guests. The program includes a keynote message that will be delivered by Derrick Wilson, Owner, and CEO of The Wilson Group. After the keynote, the students will form 3 to 4-member groups. Each group will have lunch at a table with one of our invited guests. After lunch the groups of young people will rotate to different tables every 15 minutes, meeting as many of the professionals that time allows. We have invited Macedonia Baptist Church’s Boys to Men, students of Westinghouse School and Youthworks from Coraopolis PA to participate.
