The Chapter of the Year Leadership Awards program of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. was created to showcase the outstanding programmatic efforts and accomplishments of Chapters that advance the organization’s mission. Winners must provide evidence of outstanding leadership in all of The 100’s four programmatic focus areas: Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness, and Economic Empowerment. Three Chapters will be chosen as the 2018 Pinnacle Chapters of the Year in the categories of small, medium, and large Chapters. Chapters applying for the Pinnacle Small Chapter of the Year must have between 25-49 active members. Chapters applying for the Pinnacle Medium Chapter of the Year must have between 50-79 active members. Chapters applying for the Pinnacle Large Chapter of the Year must have over 80 active members. When applying for the Chapter of the Year, please provide corresponding evidence for each programmatic pillar exemplifying your Chapter’s outstanding delivery and impact. The winners of each award will be notified in May. The winning Chapters MUST commit to attending the 2018 Annual Conference in Hollywood, FL on June 13-17, 2018. Please consider nominating your Chapter for one of these prestigious awards.
Chapters deemed “In Good Standing” by March 9, 2018, with 100 Black Men of America, Inc. are eligible to compete for the awards. Immediate past winners of Chapter of the Year are ineligible as they cannot be selected in consecutive years. For example, 2017 awards recipients cannot apply in 2018, but can submit an application in 2019.
All Chapter of the Year applications will be evaluated on the below criteria and the application packet must include supporting documentation/evidence in each of the four evaluation categories. The Chapter with the highest overall score in the programmatic area in which the application was submitted will be deemed the winner. Chapters that submit identical documents and/or applications from previous years or that use the exact same information and documentation previously submitted will be disqualified.
